We take on children from as young as four in the team, so long as you are able to ride a bicycle unaided and you are not afraid of a few knocks and tumbles in your early practice days, (far & few between) you can come and join us.

The team is made up of boys and girls and comprises of a team of around sixteen to eighteen young riders. When we fall below this number, we are able to recruit new riders for our forthcoming season, so maintaining an effective display team. This is normally around the end of August and new intake riders start a six week training program at the end of September in preparation for the full team training which takes place in January of the next year so integrating new members to the team.

The children will not need to own a motorcycle initially as we have a number of loan bikes enabling you to gauge if this is for you. If the answer is YES, then we will guide you as to what size of machine will suit your child to start off with.

We require a "100%" commitment from the riders, and a "200%" commitment of the parents . As training is the most important part of the teams activities, training is for up to five hours every Saturday morning , this is in or around the Portsmouth area. There is a small membership fee and annual subscriptions when you join the Solent Eagles, so come and join in the fun.
